Baby’s first Australian Cultural Fund…
We are asking the beautiful people of Boorloo and beyond to help our wetness dreams come true and showcase slippery WA work at the largest arts festival on Earth.
We have been granted the opportunity to perform 24 shows of Wetness (6:50pm 6-30 August) at Just the Tonic Wee Caves for Edinburgh Fringe 2026. And whilst we have been rejected for multiple funding apps & are ineligible for short notice grants, we are 100% committed to going and hustling hard to get there.
Mish and I have been working on the tourable version of the work – an amalgamation of 2+ years of different versions – experimenting and evolving with form, character and messaging.
I’m so excited to perform the “final” version – dialing up the clown bimbotica as the Wetness Influencer with a big shake of delulu and a bottom-less thirst. Ramping up the games and the participation in a considered yet playful way. Ultimately, unclogging, submerging and dissolving boundaries between self and surrounding bodies of wetness.
It feels weird to be working towards building a tour in a collapsing world, but I deeply believe in the power of Wetness to challenge individualism, feelings of isolation and help re-find ourselves as part of the one big juicy cycle. Making it silly and a little bit sexy ofc.
YOUR SUPPORT
Donations will go towards travel & accom for myself and Mish (who will also be teching the show), production and venue costs plus basic marketing. The target is the amount we were planning to apply for a short notice touring grant but are unable to as the opportunity was granted too long ago to qualify. The target will help bolster our overall project budget of $30K (plus).
Everything over $2 is tax deductible – and we love a tax write off so the fundraiser will be going to 30 June.
Everything big or small helps, we can’t give gifts or prizes as part of the fundraiser campaign terms but we can shower you with appreciation!
More news, interviews and a lil party to be announced soon…
THANK YOU WETNESS xxx
